Childrens Hospital - Los Angeles

The Universal Love Foundation is dedicated to assisting single parents in their struggle and efforts to raise healthy children. With children being the main focus of all ULF activities, there is an obvious common ground in the objectives of these two organizations. The Board of Directors of ULF is honored and proud to establish an annual fund, to be used for the support of the single parent families of patients being treated at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles.

Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and ULF House of Hope Grief and loss Center (a nonprofit organization committed to helping children deal with their grief and loss) have collaborated to develop "Sibling Support Groups" for the children at CHLA. ULF is contributing to fund the beginning stages of the Chase Child Life grief and loss program. This program provides various grief and loss services and interventions to the families of these children. We are confident that through this program, we will be able to reach out to many siblings who are struggling to cope with the circumstances of a terminally ill family member. This also gives us the opportunity to refer families to ULF House of Hope Grief and loss Center once they leave the hospital.

California State University, Northridge (CSUN)

The scholarship will total $1,000 per year and will be awarded for a two-semester period. ULF has the final decision on the selection of the recipient. All recipients must reapply annually.

Qualifications:

• The qualified recipient must be a single parent.
• The qualified recipient does not have to be a transfer student.
• The qualified recipient must carry a study load of no less than 9 units per semester.
• The qualified recipient must demonstrate financial need.
• The qualified recipient must maintain a G.P.A. of 2.5 or higher.

California Lutheran University

The scholarship will total $1,000 per year and will be awarded for a two-semester period. ULF has the final decision on the selection of the recipient. All recipients must reapply annually.

• The qualified recipient must be a single parent.
• The qualified recipient does not have to be a transfer student.

Santa Barbara School of Business
